Real Madrid's star player Jude Bellingham has been sidelined due to an injury to his right leg. The 21-year-old midfielder was forced to withdraw from recent matches after sustaining a minor calf injury.

A statement from Real Madrid’s medical team revealed that Bellingham has been diagnosed with an injury to the plantaris muscle in his right leg.

“Following tests carried out today (Friday), the player has been diagnosed with an injury to the plantaris muscle in his right leg. His progress will be monitored,”

the statement read.

Bellingham expressed his frustration over the injury but remains optimistic, stating that he is seeking to find positives in the situation. Despite the setback, his contributions to the team have been significant. Last season, Bellingham was one of Real Madrid’s standout performers and currently leads the scoring charts in the ongoing series. Many football experts also consider him a top contender for the World Player of the Year award this year.

The club and fans will be watching closely as Bellingham's recovery progresses, hoping for his swift return to action.
