AC Milan defeated Inter Milan 3-1 in Serie A on Sunday, with winger Diego Moreira scoring twice in the first half of the match at the San Siro.

Christian Pulisic and Adrien Rabiot scored for Milan within the first 10 minutes of the match. Alessandro Bastoni reduced Inter's deficit in the 22nd minute, but Moreira scored from 25 yards out to restore Milan's two-goal lead.

It was the third direct free-kick scored by an AC Milan player in the Milan derby since 2004.

Inter were awarded a penalty in the second half, but the referee overturned the decision after reviewing VAR.

AC Milan secured their third consecutive league victory over Inter on Saturday, ending Inter's eight-match unbeaten run in all competitions.
