AC Milan secured a thrilling 3-2 victory over Inter Milan to claim the Italian Supercup on Sunday, completing a remarkable comeback in a match that kept fans on the edge of their seats.

Under the guidance of new coach Sergio Conceicao, AC Milan overcame a 2-1 deficit to deny Inter Milan their fourth consecutive Supercup title. Inter had the upper hand early, with Lautaro Martinez scoring in the dying moments of the first half. The Nerazzurri doubled their lead just two minutes into the second half when Mehdi Taremi found the back of the net.

However, Milan quickly responded with Theo Hernandez’s goal in the 52nd minute, reigniting hopes of a comeback. The momentum shifted further in the 80th minute when Christian Pulisic equalized, bringing the score level at 2-2.

With the match on the verge of extra time, it was Tammy Abraham who delivered the decisive blow, scoring in the third minute of added time to hand Milan their first Supercup victory since 2022.

For Inter Milan, the defeat marked the end of a dominant run in the tournament, having claimed the Supercup for the past three years. With this victory, AC Milan now stands as the Italian Supercup champion for the eighth time in their history.

The result serves as a perfect early statement under Conceicao’s leadership and provides the club with significant momentum heading into the rest of the season.
