A 26-year-old man has been arrested in connection with suspected drug use and trafficking during a joint operation conducted by the Drug Enforcement Department and Counter Narcotics Intelligence in Male’ and Hulhumale’.

Operation Details

The suspect, Ahmed Shauban Latheef of Finifen Maage, Funaadhu, Fuvahmulah City, was taken into custody after police searched an apartment in Hulhumale’ Phase 2 and three locations in Male’. During the searches, authorities seized substances believed to be drugs, with a preliminary weight of 1,058.31 grams.

Court Order

Ahmed Shauban Latheef was presented before the Criminal Court, which ordered him to be detained for seven days as the investigation continues.
