The first vessel 'MT Marine Angel' has been docked in Kulhudhuffushi City today.

According to State Trading Organization (STO), which will provide these services in the country, the boat will carry 4,000 metric tons of crude oil.

According to STO the second boat used for the service is also expected to arrive on Friday. The ship is capable of carrying 3,200 metric tons of crude oil.

The Maldives is set to officially launch international bunkering services on May 20. "We have decided to sell fuel for the first boat on the same day and we will continue with the work," STO said in a statement.

Earlier, it was decided to start international bunkering services in collaboration with STO and MPL on Thursday. However, due to bad weather and delay in arrival of vehicles, the date was postponed.
