Saudia, the national airline of Saudi Arabia, has entered into a codeshare agreement with Delta Air Lines, further strengthening the existing partnership between the two carriers. This collaboration will offer passengers more destination choices between North America and the Arabian Peninsula, pending approval from relevant authorities.
Through the codeshare, Saudia passengers will have access to 12 additional destinations in the U.S. via Delta’s major hubs at JFK and LAX. Meanwhile, Delta passengers will gain access to 9 new destinations in Saudi Arabia and the Middle East through Saudia’s networks beyond Jeddah and Riyadh.
This partnership will improve connectivity between the U.S. and the Middle East, providing seamless travel options for both tourists and business travelers. Both airlines are members of the SkyTeam alliance, ensuring frequent flyers can continue to earn and redeem miles on both carriers, along with enjoying SkyPriority services for Elite Plus members.
Arved Von Zur Muehlen, Saudia’s Chief Commercial Officer, said, “This agreement with Delta Air Lines is part of our commitment to expanding Saudia’s flight network, offering more travel options for our guests and enhancing global connectivity. It supports the growth of Saudi Arabia’s tourism sector and allows international visitors to explore the Kingdom’s diverse attractions.”
Delta’s Senior Vice President of Alliances, Perry Cantarutti, added, “Saudia’s expanding Jeddah hub and extensive network bring Delta passengers closer to key destinations across the Middle East, responding to growing demand for more travel choices between North America and the Gulf region.”
This partnership aims to foster stronger commercial and tourism ties between Saudi Arabia and the U.S., opening new opportunities for both nations.
