The Fahi Dhiriulhun Corporation (FDC) has announced that the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs will be responsible for determining the validity and allocation of units under the 'Gedhoruveriya' housing scheme.

In a recent statement, the FDC clarified that the selection of beneficiaries for the housing project will be managed by the Ministry of Housing. The corporation emphasized that it would adhere strictly to the Ministry’s directives regarding the distribution and handover of housing units.

The FDC has temporarily suspended the process of handing over units in compliance with the Ministry’s instructions. All transactions related to the transfer of units will proceed only once the Ministry makes a final decision on the matter.

This decision comes as part of the FDC’s commitment to ensuring that the allocation process for the Gedhoruveriya scheme is conducted transparently and in accordance with governmental oversight. The Ministry’s involvement is expected to ensure fairness and proper management of the housing project.
