Arsenal beat Liverpool 1-0 at Anfield for the first time in 14 years to move to the top of the English Premier League table.
Mikel Arteta's side moved three points clear of Manchester City, while Liverpool remained in fifth place, nine points behind league leaders Arsenal.
The only goal of the match came in the 16th minute. Kai Havertz scored the decisive goal, while Declan Rice scored his first goal of the season.
It was the 46th goal by a German player in Premier League history. With the goal, he surpassed Ilkay Gundogan, who had scored 45 goals, to become the German player with the most goals in the league's history.
Liverpool produced 17 shots during the match, but none were on target.
It was the first league game since the 2003-04 season in which Liverpool failed to register a single shot on target at home. Liverpool's Florian Wirtz sent a free kick towards the net, but Alexis Mac Allister missed an opportunity to put the ball into the net.
Arsenal's strong defence held on to the lead until the final whistle.
