Air Arabia has inaugurated its first non-stop daily flight route connecting Sharjah, UAE, with Malé, Maldives, which officially launched on October 27, 2024. This new route allows Air Arabia to tap into the Maldivian tourism sector, providing Middle Eastern travelers with direct access to the Maldives, known for its beautiful tropical landscape.

The inaugural flight was celebrated at both Sharjah and Velana International Airports, including a water cannon salute upon arrival in Malé.

Air Arabia’s fleet includes 77 Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft, known for their advanced efficiency and single-aisle design. Each flight offers passengers the free ‘SkyTime’ in-flight streaming service and affordable food and beverage options through ‘SkyCafe.’ Additionally, Air Arabia’s loyalty program, ‘Air Rewards,’ allows passengers to earn and redeem points.

This new route not only provides an affordable travel option but also strengthens connections between the Middle East and the Maldives. The expansion aligns with both Air Arabia's strategy to broaden its network and the Maldives' tourism and airport growth plans.
