Malé, Maldives — A collision occurred at Velana International Airport this morning at approximately 09:45 AM, involving a car and a pickup truck. The incident took place when a speeding car struck road dividers, lost control, hit a van, and subsequently collided with the rear of a pickup truck.

The car sustained significant damage, with the front of the vehicle appearing to penetrate into the pickup truck, as shown in videos circulating on social media.

The driver of the car was transported to Hulhumale Hospital for treatment, while a passenger in the back seat received care at the Airport Clinic. Fortunately, the passenger's injuries were not severe.

The police have launched an investigation into the incident.
