Met's weather forecast, valid until 18:00 today, predicts rain showers with thunderstorms in the northern and central atolls, with heavy rainfall expected in some islands. Additionally, the effects of the southwest monsoon are anticipated to reach the southern areas, bringing the possibility of more thunderstorms.

Winds are expected to range between 5 and 15 miles per hour from the west and northwest in the southern atolls, while other areas will experience winds from the northeast and east. Gusts could increase wind speeds up to 30 miles per hour.

The seas are expected to remain moderate, but rough conditions may arise during gusts, with wave heights predicted to range between 2 and 5 feet.
