Malé, Maldives — The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has provided temporary shelter and assistance to one individual affected by the fire that broke out at G. Ufuriyaa late last night.

The incident occurred on the sixth floor of the building, where a fire ignited in Apartment B around midnight. The MNDF Fire and Rescue Service responded swiftly, managing to control the fire by 12:01 AM.

Following the incident, the NDMA arranged for temporary accommodation and meals for one person who required assistance after being displaced. The assistance is being provided for one day as they work to support the affected resident.

Authorities are continuing to investigate the cause of the fire, and no further casualties have been reported.
