A significant fire has broken out at the Marine Centre Godown in K.Thilafushi, with emergency responders working tirelessly to contain the blaze. The Maldives National Defense Force (MNDF) received reports of the fire at approximately 8:36 this morning.

Fire and Rescue teams have been on-site since the early hours, battling the flames which have severely damaged the structure. Photos from the scene show extensive scorching, highlighting the severity of the incident.

The Marine Centre Godown is reported to have been storing a variety of chemicals.
