President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has made significant changes to his cabinet, appointing three new Ministers in a ceremony at the President's Office this afternoon.

Key Appointments:

  • Dr. Abdulla Khaleel has transitioned from Minister of Health to Minister of Foreign Affairs.
  • Abdulla Nazim Ibrahim, previously Principal Secretary on Public Policy, has been appointed Minister of Health. Nazim has prior experience in this role during former President Abdulla Yameen's administration.
  • Moosa Zameer, who served as Minister of Foreign Affairs, is now the Minister of Finance.

This reshuffle marks the first cabinet change since the administration took office on November 17 last year. Notably, Dr. Mohamed Shafeeq, the former Minister of Finance, has resigned from his position.
