Funadhoo MP Mohamed Mamdhooh has praised President Mohamed Muizzu's approach to foreign policy, emphasizing that the government is committed to strengthening ties with all nations while maintaining the Maldives' independence and sovereignty.
In a post on Social Media X, MP Mamdhooh highlighted the government's decision to send foreign troops to the Maldives, noting that President Muizzu is upholding his promises to ensure that the country’s foreign relations are based on mutual respect and national sovereignty.
The MP emphasized that the Maldives will always prioritize its own decisions and maintain full control over its internal affairs. "The indigenous people of the Maldives have always exercised their right to decide their future independently, and this will not change," Mamdhooh added.
He further reaffirmed that the foreign policy of the current government is firmly rooted in the *'Maldives First'* approach, focusing on the nation's interests while fostering positive diplomatic relations globally.
Mamdhooh's remarks come amid growing discussions on the Maldives' foreign policy under President Muizzu, with an emphasis on balancing international cooperation with a steadfast commitment to national sovereignty.
