President Dr. Mohammed Muizzu and First Lady have departed for Singapore on an unofficial visit, as confirmed by a statement from the President’s Office. The departure occurred last night, and the statement provided no additional details regarding the purpose or duration of the visit.

During the PNC meeting held the same night, President Muizzu disclosed that he had sustained an injury while playing football at K. Aarah. He mentioned receiving treatment for this injury at Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) in Malé.

Speculation has emerged on social media suggesting that the President's trip to Singapore might be related to seeking further treatment for this injury. However, there has been no official confirmation regarding these speculations from relevant sources.

The unofficial visit has prompted discussions, but the official rationale for the trip remains unspecified at this time.
