209 Graduates Complete Second Khatib Training Program

The second Khatib training program has successfully concluded, with 209 individuals receiving certificates for their achievement. The ceremony, held at the Islamic Centre, was attended by Minister of Islamic Affairs Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed, Islamic Centre's Chief Imam Mohamed Latheef, Fatwa Majlis Member Ilyas Hussain, and State Minister Dr. Moosa Anwar, who presented the certificates.

Minister Shaheem highlighted that over 300 youth have participated in the program, which is conducted under the direction of President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu. The government's goal is to train 1,000 Khatibs during this term. Shaheem expressed confidence in achieving this target and announced that the third training program will begin soon.

The Khatib training program includes education on delivering sermons (khutba), leading prayers, and other religious instruction. The program is open to school graduates as well as students from Grades 10, 11, and 12.
