Palestinian Ambassador to the UN Calls for Global Action to End Israeli Genocide in Gaza

Palestine's Ambassador to the United Nations, Riyad Mansour, has called for immediate global intervention to end what he described as a "genocide" being carried out by Israel against Palestinians in Gaza.

In a passionate address to the UN General Assembly, Mansour condemned the ongoing violence, particularly in northern Gaza, where he said "ethnic cleansing is being carried out in broad daylight" in areas like Beit Lahia. Mansour highlighted the devastating impact of Israel's recent air strikes, which killed at least 20 Palestinians and wounded dozens of others, including displaced people, in the Al-Mawasi area of Khan Younis.

"Every hour, every day, more Palestinian children, women, and men fall victim to this depraved Israeli onslaught. Lives are lost, families are devastated, and an entire people are brutalized, terrorized, and traumatized, with no end in sight," Mansour said, urging the international community to act urgently to prevent further loss of life and suffering.

The Ambassador's remarks come amid ongoing violence in Gaza, where Israel has been carrying out air strikes in response to attacks from the militant group Hamas. The situation has led to widespread calls for global action to address the humanitarian crisis and hold Israel accountable for its actions in the occupied Palestinian territories.
