An Israeli airstrike early on Saturday targeted a home in Gaza's Nuseirat refugee camp, resulting in the deaths of at least 20 Palestinians, including six children, and leaving many others wounded, according to Gaza's civil defense agency and WAFA news agency.

The bombing, which occurred in the densely populated camp, killed 20 people, including six children and five women. Several others were wounded as neighbouring homes were also damaged by the strike.

Medical sources at Al-Awda Hospital confirmed the arrival of 14 bodies from the scene, while local hospitals reported receiving at least 39 wounded individuals. Rescue efforts are ongoing as emergency teams continue to search for survivors amidst the rubble of the destroyed houses.

The strike is the latest in a series of Israeli bombings as tensions continue to escalate between Israel and Palestinian militants in Gaza.
