During Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's address at the United Nations General Assembly, many delegates from pro-Palestinian countries, including representatives from the Maldives, walked out of the session. This was confirmed by Heena Waleedh, spokesperson for the President's Office, in a post on X.

As Netanyahu began his speech, which focused on justifying Israel's military actions against Hamas and Hezbollah, numerous dignitaries left the room, indicating their disapproval of his remarks. Netanyahu stated that he would not cease military operations until Israel achieved "victory" and made it clear that Hamas fighters would not be permitted to remain in Gaza following the conflict.

This mass departure underscores the growing tensions and divisions surrounding the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and reflects the strong stance many nations are taking in support of Palestinian rights.
