Malé, Maldives — President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu embarked on a three-day visit to Huvadhoo Atoll this morning. The visit is part of his continued efforts to engage with local communities across the Maldives and address key issues impacting island residents.

During this trip, President Muizzu will visit five islands in Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll and four in Gaafu Alifu Atoll. In Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll, the President will travel to Hoandehdhoo, Nadellaa, Vaadhoo, Fiyoree, and Rathafandhoo. Meanwhile, in Gaafu Alifu Atoll, his itinerary includes visits to Kanduhulhudhoo, Nilandhoo, Maamendhoo, and Dhevvadhoo.

One of the key highlights of the visit will be the inauguration of the water and sewerage system services in Gaafu Dhaalu Hoandehdhoo, which aims to improve essential infrastructure for the local population. Additionally, President Muizzu plans to meet with as many citizens as possible, listen to their concerns, and address them directly.

In Gaafu Alifu Atoll, the President will also engage with the councils of Maamendhoo and Dhevvadhoo to discuss the most pressing issues facing residents, with a focus on development needs and future plans for the atolls.

This visit is part of President Muizzu's broader initiative to tour the country's atolls and meet with local councils, a program he began last year to foster greater connection with communities across the Maldives.

Accompanying the President on this visit are several ministers and senior government officials, who will assist in addressing local matters and ensuring effective communication between the central government and the islands.

The President is scheduled to return to Malé on Thursday, concluding his visit to Huvadhoo Atoll.
