As in previous years, the Ministry of Islamic Affairs has planned a series of special programs for this year’s Ramadan, focusing on promoting Islamic values, encouraging increased worship, and raising public awareness. These initiatives aim to strengthen religious devotion and provide authentic Islamic knowledge to the public.

Pre-Ramadan Initiatives

To prepare for the holy month, the ministry has scheduled two key events:

  1. “Mindful Ramadan” Workshop – Designed to help individuals spiritually and mentally prepare for Ramadan.
  2. “Welcome Ramadan” Lecture – A large public lecture to be held at Male’ Artificial Beach, an event that received widespread interest last year.

Ramadan Activities
  1. Ihya Forums in Male’ – A total of eight forums will be held to foster religious discussions and deepen Islamic knowledge.
  2. Ihya Forums in Selected Cities/Islands – Seven cities or islands have been chosen based on outstanding proposals from local councils interested in hosting the event.
  3. Student-Focused Ihya Forums – Six forums are planned to increase religious awareness among school students.
  4. Outreach Programs in Male’ – Conducted every Saturday during Ramadan, featuring games and activities for children, religious counseling, and stalls offering Qurans and Islamic literature.
  5. Asr Lectures – Daily religious lectures following the Asr prayer in Male’, continuing the ministry’s tradition.

Digital Awareness Campaigns

The Islamic Studio of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs is also preparing to broadcast religious programs via the ministry’s social media platforms. These broadcasts will include both previously popular programs and newly introduced content aimed at raising public awareness and enhancing religious education.

Through these initiatives, the Ministry of Islamic Affairs seeks to create a spiritually enriching Ramadan experience for Maldivians, reinforcing the significance of worship and religious understanding during this holy month.
